Sew Very Vintage is a unique collaboration of three businesses under one roof. This makes our range of stock exciting with an eclectic mix of vintage, vintage inspired and new stock from a range of suppliers. We also offer craft supplies and various craft workshops which take place in our local studio. We have been trading in Wallingford since July 2016.
MEET THE TEAM
Devon @ The Button Room
I’m a mum of two small boys and suffer with neuropathic pain. Having a disability has given me the ideal opportunity to start up a business that I really enjoy.
My Business, ‘The Button Room’, is filled with lots of button-inspired products, which is wide and varied, including mirrors, jewellery boxes, OOAK art pieces, I also include items that I feel hit the ‘button’ when it comes to style. With a passion for flamingos, anything retro and a love for the unique.
I hope you enjoy viewing my designs of handmade necklaces, bracelets, earrings and hair slides.
I hope you enjoy browsing our site and looking at our products as much as I enjoy making, collecting and sourcing them.
Madeleine Tanner @ Createability
After many years working in retail management and crafting for pleasure, I decided the time was right to take the plunge and set up my own craft business Create-ability.
My lifelong passion for all things creative inspired me to run craft workshops while selling exciting, inspiring and unusual craft products. I studied fashion design at Art college and later acquired an NVQ in carpentry & joinery but developed a love of textiles and mixed media work over the years. In May 2016 I became a certified trainer of the Powertex range of Art supplies & run workshops from my studio as well as undertaking commission work. Much of my work is inspired by nature and the countryside, where possible I incorporate recycled materials making something disposable into an art piece.
Cristina @ Cristina’s Quirky Crafts
After graduating from Sussex University I was excited to fulfil my passion of starting my own business. I feel privileged to be able to offer a range of my handmade items in Sew Very Vintage alongside my etsy shop.
My favourite materials to work with are pebbles, driftwood and sea-glass, of which I personally collect from the shorelines of Devon and Cornwall. I love using these materials to make bespoke art pieces, many of which are made to order.
I also enjoy working with quirky game pieces such as Lego, Scrabble and Monopoly pieces. I upcycle these into custom frames, cufflinks and notebooks to name but a few
